Oktay Colak
Oktay ColakBorn in Caykara, Trabzon in 1970.
Graduated from Anatolian University Business Administration Faculty, in 1997.
Two years later, he began his academic career at Marmara University, Fine Arts Faculty, Photography Division, where he is still working as a member of the faculty.He won his postgraduate degree in photography from the same faculty in 2001.
The same year, he began his doctorate program at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Photography Division.
In recent years, he has been entering national and international photographic competitions. He has received several awards, including gold medals from Spain, Austria and Slovenia.
His work has been accepted by several museums.
He has made a number of photographic journeys to other parts of the world.His first personal exhibition, "Nature", was held at the Taksim Art Gallery, Istanbul, in September 2003.
"In Ten Years", his second personal exhibition, took place at Fotografevi, Istanbul, in May 2004.
