Bill Hodges AFIAP,APSNZ

I first became interested in Photography when my father showed me how to develop and print Black & White back in the 1950s. I joined my first photographic club (Southland Photographic Society) in 1958.

In 1959 I joined the Royal New Zealand Navy as a boy seaman; 32 years later I retired from the service as a Master At ARMS (naval Police).

I have since settled in Tauranga, New Zealand and set up a small photographic business working from home (BH PHOTOGRAPHY). My work is mainly weddings and a small amount of commercial. I also supply stock Libraries.

I am a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society and a member of the Photographic Society of New Zealand. I have had the honour of being awarded the letters of Associateship from the said society. I have received several awards in local, national & international competitions.

I like all types of photography from still-life to photojournalism, people and sport.

I Shoot both on film and digital; 35mm and Medium format.

I bought my first SLR in 1964, a Pentax Spotmatic. I'm still using Pentax equipment to this day and now have the latest Pentax digital *istD
