I first became interested in photography in the early 60's and joined the Malta Photographic Society in 1968. My first camera was a Pentax SV SLR and I later acquired an Olympus OM10 Quartz SLR. About three years ago I purchased a Canon S20 and also had access to my son's Canon S50 and that was the way I got into digital photography.
As a keen user of computers, I enjoy image manipulation with Photoshop CS2 and other graphics software programs. I happen to have quite a variety of hobbies and have always used photography to complement and record my main interests, which vary from cactus growing to die-cast car models.
I retired from work about five years ago and, with ample free time at my disposal, am considering the purchase of one of the newer Canon or Nikon DSLR's. That would obviously mean better results in picture quality and versatility.
The picture on this page has been selected from a sample of my favourite images ....the humble result obtained with a small camera such as the Canon S20.
