I am French and was born in 1932 in Burgundy, but have lived in North France for 45 years. I am married and have four children; three sons and one daughter, all out on their own now. One son is a graduate engineer, another is a manager in the building trade and the third is a technician specialist in computer language. Our daughter is a wide wife. We have eleven grandchildren.

I am a graduate engineer (ICAM) and was a chief engineer in the coal mines of North France. I really began my photographic work when I retired in 1988. I have specialized in large color prints, darkroom techniques and, since September 1997, digital images.

I am a member of the Photographic Society of DOUAI and WERWICQ SUD Camera Club (North France).

I joined PSA in 1992. I am a four star exhibitor in the Color Print Division of PSA, and have been selected as Top European Exhibitor (PSA Who's Who) in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997. & 2000 for Pictorial Prints.

I have had photographic works in the permanent collection of the French Photographic Museum since 1991.

I also have been awarded the "Excellence" de la "Federation Internationale d'Art Photographique" (EFIAP), the"Excellence" de la Federation Photographique de France at the highest level (EFPF5), 'Active Member' (AISF) and "Constellation Hercule Exhibitor" (CH.ISF) of the European Association "Image Without Frontier".

"Grand Prix d'Europe, ISF 2000", the International Federation of Photographic Art has also conferred on me in 2000 the highest distinction: "Master photographer of FIAP".

I have exhibited numerous times in France, and also, as guest of honor, in Belgium, Spain, Romania, Pakistan, China and Argentine.

As a second passion, for the past 25 years, I have been a breeder of Shetland ponies, selecting the best stallions and mares ("French Supreme Champion" six times). My other interests are reading and listening to classic music.
