Sales Director for textile machinery. Travelling in more than 50 countries, speaking 5 languages: German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.

Since 1974 involved in photographic activities.
Since 1979 successful participation at International Photographic Salons worldwide.
2400 International Salon acceptances with over 390 prizes.

Mainly active in B&W photography but also in slides and colour prints.

More than 70 individual Exhibitions in USA, Argentina, Taiwan, Japan, India, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria and other foreign countries as well as in Austria.

Organizer of International photo exhibitions of the well-known Kamera Klub Linz, Austria.

In 1987 Manfred Gsteu founded the internationally known Kameraklub-Bilderbank this comprises 3500 photographs in b&w and color from more than 900 authors from various countries in 5 continents and every year there are organised 4-8 international exhibitions abroad and in Austria in the meantime 41 international Kameraklub-Bilderbank exhibitions have been organised, further exhibitions are organised for future years.

Participant of the PSA European Portfolio in color-photography under the guidance of Mr. Gerard Jouffray, European Portfolio Director and participant and initiator of the PSA European portfolio in b&w-photography. Under his guidance he has become an international photo-judge, the chairman of international photo-salons, and has published in the PSA-Journal, as well as in various photographic magazines. Since 1981 he has for several years appeared in the PSA “Who is Who in Photography”.

In 1997 manfred gsteu founded the 4 International Photo-Sister-Cities, Linz-Taipei-Kyoto-Kulmbach, together with Fritz Shih, PSA country representative of Taiwan Takeshi Tokumasu, president of the Japan International Photographic Federation and president of the Photographic Society of Kyoto, Jürgen International Grimme, president of the Fotofreunde of Kulmbach since the very beginning. Manfred Gsteu is international photo-representative and member of the IIWF, the community of Interest of International Exhibition Photographers, organising international photo-exhibitions and recruiting members for this community, which has been founded by Alfred Jendroszek, PSA-cr (country representative) for Germany.

Manfred Gsteu, PSA-cr for Austria and Fritz Shih PSA-cr for Taiwan organised the 1st photo-exhibition representing the best work from PSA members around the world, in the National Gallery of Taiwan in 2002. With this global initiative they are supporting photographic art and bringing together photo-friends from all over the world.
